Olivia Mew Olympic Campaign

Olivia Mew Rio OlympicsOlivia Mew is a member of the Toronto Windsurfing Club that is on the Canadian Olympic Team, she is working towards the 2020 Olympics that will likely be in Madrid in Sailing Womens RS:X.

Latest News from Olivia : the 2016 Weymouth Sailing World Cup was held June 6-12 held in Weymouth/Portland, England in the same waters as the London 2012 Olympics.

Olivia had a stellar result finishing 4th!

"Going into the medal race I was only one point ahead of 5th place, making for a challenging last day. I coped well with the stress and managed to hold onto my lead, placing 4th in the double point medal race. I’m very happy with my result here, achieving a new personal best in an international fleet. Although we were the smallest fleet competing, we were certainly a strong group of women, including the current world champion, and 3 past youth world champions. Considering my current health status and small number of years sailing, I performed well beyond expectations in this competition."

"I’ve made a ton of progress over the past month, including a lot of technical changes that have increased my speed tremendously. Many thanks to Farrah for coaching me – it’s been a blast!"
