Lessons run before June 24 are discounted Adult Lessons |
What programs do you offer? We offer a variety of lesson to suit all interests and skill levels:
What's the schedule? Our program runs from late May to mid-September. Most lessons are three hours long at fixed times:
Most courses run once per week for four weeks but we also offer “crash courses” on select weekends. Who are the instructors and what about safety? All of our instructors are passionate, skilled and highly qualified. Our head instructor has over 15 years of teaching experience, and all staff have essential safety certifications, power boat permits and instructor training. Our safety record is excellent and we have policies and procedures in place to deal with a range of different safety related situations. Our average instructor to student ratio of 1:5 means excellent supervision, high quality instruction and lots of fun for our participants. Do you provide equipment?Yes, all windsurfing equipment is provided during your lesson. We have a large selection of boards and sails to suit all skill levels and weather conditions. We also provide life jackets, wetsuits and water shoes (“booties”). However, if you have your own we recommend that you bring them. What happens when I finish my lessons?Stay Hooked, our flexible practice program, is available for students who have completed Next Step and have approval from our head instructor. Stay Hooked lets you practice independently on club equipment during regular lesson hours. Free TWC memberships are offered to students that complete both Beginner and Next Step courses. Membership is a great way to get involved and hang out at the club outside of your lesson hours. Also ask your instructor about our annual club trip to Cape Hatteras in North Carolina, weekly race and BBQ nights, and special events at the club. |
