In Memory of a TWC Member
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our fellow TWC Member, Robert McKendry.
Robert will be remembered as a kind, thoughtful and genuinely decent person who made a lasting impression on many at TWC.
A University of Toronto professor originally from Scotland, Robert had a passion for learning, teaching and building. He learned to windsurf at TWC in 2009 and loved it so much that he designed and built an upgraded windsurfing simulator - the legendary "Simonulator." Built incredibly strong (and admittedly quite heavy!), it helped teach new windsurfers for the next 10 years!
He was an active member of the club, particularly during the winter months, and was always a welcome presence around TWC.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends and everyone who knew them.
At the families request, there will be no funeral or celebration of life.
