    The Ontario Government has announced the extension of the Emergency Stay-At-Home Order, providing updated regulations that now require the closure of outdoor recreational amenities and marinas.

    In order to ensure the security and safety of our members, the Club is closed effective immediately and until further notice. This closure includes TWC grounds and facilities such as the parking lot, lawn, storage trailers, clubhouse and washrooms.

    This action reflects recommendations from Ontario Sailing and is consistent with the decisions of all other clubs of the Outer Harbour Sailing Federation which are also closed.

    As a result of this closure, the locks on the entry gate and all storage containers have been changed and we ask all members to stop visiting the club immediately.

    City by-law officers and/or the police may enforce with fines and penalties which start at $750 for individuals, significantly more for the club.

    Those with storage will receive a separate email later today with instructions on making an appointment to arrange for one-time pick up and removal of any gear from TWC property. Once removed, equipment may not be returned until after the lock down regulations are lifted.

    We thank you for your support and cooperation during this challenging period and hope that everyone will do their part to successfully “flatten the curve”. Please click here to contact us with any questions.

    For further updates from TWC, please continue to monitor your inbox and TWC social media, or visit https://torontowindsurfingclub.com/coronavirus.

    The City of Toronto entered the Lockdown – grey zone of Ontario's COVID-19 Response Framework at 12:01 am on Monday 23 November 2020. During this time:
    • The club remains open with some restrictions.
    • The clubhouse will remain closed.
    • Toilets are available to members only and must be kept locked at all times. The key is in a lockbox on the toilet handle. Check your email for the code, never share this code with anyway and always scramble the code when you're done.
    • Clean your hands often. The washrooms have soap and water and sanitizer is available on the inside of every storage trailer door.
    • Masks must be worn in any indoor space (storage trailers and toilets). We do this to protect each other and because it is the law in Toronto. There are extra disposable masks inside each trailer, in case you've forgotten yours.
    • Only one person is permitted in a storage trailer at a time.
    • Always maintain a physical distance of 2m to protect club members and our club.
    • There are no garbage facilities available at the club right now. Please take your garbage home and encourage others to do the same.
    • Our lawn is for rigging and de-rigging, the public beach is available for those that want to chat (while maintaining a physical distance). This is so we can allow for physical distance for those rigging and de-rigging.
    • First aid supplies have been stored in the BBQ shed for easy access.

    Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

    We are pleased to announce that Toronto Windsurfing Club (TWC) is beginning to reopen. This reopening is subject to various government orders and a letter of permission from the City in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.

    As of Sunday May 17, members will be able to access the parking lot and their storage containers. However, the clubhouse, toilets, BBQ and garbage bins will remain off limits for now.

    All members are required to follow the rules and procedures outlined below to help TWC comply with regulations and to keep each other safe:

    • Do not come to the club if you have any symptoms related to COVID-19 or have been in contact with anyone who has;
    • Bring your own mask and hand sanitizer;
    • Clean your hands often - especially before and after you touch common surfaces like locks;
    • Masks are mandatory inside the storage containers and are recommended elsewhere;
    • Only one person at a time may enter a storage trailer. Wait your turn if necessary;
    • Maintain 2m (6 ft) distance at all times;
    • Don’t congregate - please maximize your time on the water and minimize it on land;
    • Take your garbage home. Garbage bins will not be available.

    We thank you for patience as we work toward a phased reopening that complies with regulations. If you have any questions, please click here. We will do our best to get back to you in a timely manner.
