    Wednesday Night Racing

Beginner racers are welcome to the start line, the atmosphere is fun and friendly and you're guaranteed to get free advice from the experienced sailors out on the water.

Races run every Wednesday May-September. The first flag of the start sequence goes up at 6:00pm. Most racers arrive at the clubhouse around 5:00pm to give themselves time to rig up. Ideally you should be at the starting line by 5:45pm to give yourself time to evaluate the course. Usually there are three to four races taking 20-30min each. Turnouts range from 15-30 racers depending on the time of year and wind conditions.

A beach BBQ usually concludes every evening.

    For New Racers: Buddy Racing

New racers (less than two seasons' racing experience) may participate in racing as a Buddy Racing team if they desire. New racers are paired with an experienced racer who will act as an advisor, first helping their buddy learn the basics and then giving tips on the finer points as the season progresses.

If you want to race but aren't really sure where to start then Buddy Racing is for you! Contact Keli Schmidt for more information.

*Beginners may participate on TWC equipment by using a Stay Hooked credit.
